There are tulum cheeses from many cities in Turkey, but two are particularly popular across the country.

My favourite is from East Turkey comes Erzincan Tulum Cheese, and from the West comes Izmir Tulum Cheese.

Erzincan Tulum cheese gets its name and taste from the aging method. Pressed with salt into a bag made of animal skin, this cheese turns into one of the sharpest, most delicious, creamy, and unforgettable cheeses you can eat.

Turkey is one of the regions with the most prolonged grape and wine history in the world. It has a rich wine culture and is home to some of the modern age’s finest wines.

The region’s history with wine dates back around 11,000 years ago in Anatolia, where the Vitis vinifera (domesticated grape) originated in the Black Sea region. The grapes then spread to the ancient Middle East parts of the world, including Mesopotamia, between the Euphrates and Tigris.

At Tulum, we are very proud to serve indigenous Turkish wines and to match our carefully designed food.
